The Writing Practice

A private reflective writing series

This is a private writing series for people who feel like there is a lot inside, but don’t always know how to put it into words.

You don’t need to be a writer.

You don’t need to know what you’re feeling.

You just need a place to write.

Through guided writing, you learn to put something down, see it, and stay with it.

Over time, what feels foggy becomes something you can recognise, understand, and respond to.

This series is structured over several weeks so the writing has time to deepen.

Who This Is For

This may be for you if you:

  • feel like there is a lot inside, but it’s hard to express

  • notice your thoughts feel tangled or unclear

  • carry things you don’t always say out loud

  • find yourself replaying moments or conversations

  • want a way to understand what you’re experiencing

No writing experience is needed.

the practice

Writing becomes more meaningful when it unfolds over time.

This series creates a short, focused period to practise writing regularly and notice what emerges.

Over 4–6 weeks, we will meet three times.

In each session, you will write and gently reflect on what appears—your thoughts, your feelings, and how you respond to them.

Between sessions, you continue writing on your own.

In the final session, we step back and notice what has been coming up across your writing.

Over time, you begin to:

  • put into words what once felt hard to say

  • notice patterns in how you think and respond

  • stay with an experience without rushing past it

  • understand yourself through what you’ve written

You leave with a practice you can return to independently.

What's included

3 private sessions (30–45 minutes each)
A series allows the writing to deepen while giving you time to practise between sessions.

4–6 weeks of guided writing between sessions
Writing deepens through repetition. This gives your experience time to unfold.

A Writing Companion (digital workbook)
A simple guide to support your writing between sessions, with prompts and gentle structure.
